How To Hold An Effective Meeting
Employees typically spend up to 40% of their time preparing for and participating in meetings. With poor planning and unclear agendas, meetings often end up losing focus and devouring time, energy, resources and money.
Yet with the right training we can ensure we hold effective meetings that end with a clear course of action, leading to increased productivity, and become the standard practice for your people.
In 90 minutes participants will learn how to hold effective, productive meetings by:
- learning how to best prepare for the meeting
- understanding the role of the chairperson
- learning questioning and listening techniques for keeping everyone engaged
- knowing how to assign actions to be carried out post-meeting.
Virtual Workshop Content
In this virtual workshop participants reflect on the types of meetings held in their organisation – what’s good about them and what’s bad about them.
The workshop focuses on how to best plan for a meeting (agenda, invites) and the steps needed to ensure the meeting runs smoothly (individual roles, timing).
Participants practise the key skills of asking great questions and being a great listener and we role play an effective meeting.
We conclude this virtual workshop by identifying how to effectively assign actions to be carried out post meeting.
“A meeting is an event at which the minutes are kept and the hours are lost.”
