How To Be Engaging

What makes a person engaging? Charm, Passion, Confidence? Sure. But make someone feel important and you will really capture their attention.

Being engaging is about getting and keeping people’s attention. It’s about giving them something memorable and helping them to be their best.

This workshop helps you find out how to make people feel special so that you become exceptionally engaging.

Participants will learn how to be engaging, appealing and liked by:

  • understanding what makes someone engaging
  • completing a self-evaluation: How Well Do You Know Yourself?
  • learning the importance of being interested rather than trying to be interesting
  • becoming familiar with the 10 principles for being engaging.

Face-to-Face Workshop Content

In this workshop participants complete a short self-evaluation titled How Engaging Are You?
The workshop focuses on two key techniques for being engaging – asking great questions and being a great listener.
In a very powerful group activity participants become familiar with the 10 principles for being engaging.
The workshop concludes by exploring the eloquent techniques used by Barack Obama that make him so engaging.

“Be interested rather than trying to be interesting if you want to be thought of as an interesting person”
